Both European and American authorities consider the use of lamps for curing gel nail polish to be safe. The lamps used by Pink Gellac emit only UV-A radiation. Scientific research shows that actual exposure during normal use is well below the risk level for UV-A light. The Dutch Cosmetics Association also states that studies show that the use of UV lamps for curing gel nails leads to only a very low additional exposure of the skin to UV radiation. Nail dryers with UV light are therefore safe when used properly. The website of the Dutch Cosmetics Association also contains a detailed information sheet on this topic.
